Jonathan Stitelman

Beyond Boundaries Assistant Director / Senior Lecturer at the Sam Fox School

Professor Stitelman is a senior lecturer of Architecture and Urban Design. His research deals with constructed perspective in Antiquity, climate adaptation, and comparative global urbanism. His design work spans multiple scales and has been included in exhibitions at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation and the Venice Biennale. He has taught architecture at Cornell University and Technologico de Monterrey. He coordinated the Global Urbanism Studio from 2019-2023 in Johannesburg, Kampala, and Bangkok. He embodies interdisciplinary practice as he recently convened The Sweet Perspectives, a symposium on perspective image making across history and disciplines. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Psychology from the University of Vermont and Master of Architecture and Urban Design degrees from Washington University in St. Louis, where he was a Danforth Scholar.
