The Difference Between a Path and a Field

A powerful blog post here that articulates the difference between a path and a field
“Using the metaphor of a field changes how you think (and feel) about your future
and how you develop yourself to meet it.” – Robert Poynton

Customized educational experience

Students accepted into this program will have opportunities to explore topics – from climate change to aging to artificial intelligence – from multiple disciplinary perspectives.

The program curriculum will teach students how to view these major issues from multiple frameworks through teamwork and collaboration, with teams of professors from across WashU’s schools teaching
Beyond Boundaries courses.

“Don’t ask students what they want to BE when they grow up.  Ask them what problems do they want to solve.  This changes the conversation from who do I want to work for to what do I need to learn to be able to do that.
– Jaime Casap, Google Global Education
