Susan Stark

Susy Stark, PhD is a Professor of Occupational Therapy and Neurology.  She is a community engaged clinical translational scientist who studies community-based fall-prevention interventions for adults and older adults with disabilities. Her laboratory conducts clinical trials and implementation studies of behavioral interventions to improve function and reduce falls in community-dwelling older adults. Dr. Stark has been invited to address national and international audiences and has received numerous awards including induction into the American Occupational Therapy Foundation’s Academy of Research and recognition as a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Gerontological Society of America. She is an advisor to the St. Louis Area Agency on Aging, the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Technologies to Support Successful Aging in Place with Long-Term Disability, and the National Home Safety and Home Modification Work Group.
